The Redford Center #powerthevote Grant

Along with 9 other filmmakers, I was super honored to receive a grant from The Redford Center to make a Get Out the Vote PSA, “Pho the People,” featuring Thao Nguyen and her mom Nhan. Thao shows her mom the “Ballad to the Ballot” PSA for the first time, as they discuss the importance of voting while making vegan pho.

Watch all the films here or here.

From the Redford Center:

In this very moment of 2020, we face an unprecedented public health crisis being exacerbated by environmental and climate impacts — and with demands for fundamental change on the rise, now is the moment to connect the issues we face to the importance of civic engagement. This is the moment to leverage the power of filmmaking to show WHY we vote, in order to #PowerTheVote.

Thank you to everyone who followed along as we shared 10 stories of hope from our filmmaker network today.

Now, it's your turn: share the films far and wide. Tag your friends. Activate your network. It’s time to power the vote.

Together, we have power. Take action 👉🏼 redfordcenter.org/powerthevote.
